Josie had her first visit to the emergency room tonight. She was helping daddy make dinner in the kitchen and ended up putting her finger into a tin can (with lid still attached) that was ready for the recycle bin. All she wanted was a pear, and ended up with a big ouchie! She cut her index and middle fingers on her right hand. The nurses and doctor were very kind at the Swedish Emergency room in Issaquah. They opted not to do stitches (phew!) and used surgical glue instead. She was such a trooper. Her teddy kept her good company and she was very brave when the doctor fixed her up. They gave her a little piggie Beanie Baby for being so brave. Ironically, his name is Knuckles. We were in and out in no time, and were very pleased with what a nice and effecient emergency room that is so close to home. She came home and snuggled with her "little piggie" on the couch while mommy fed her dinner to keep her hand from getting messy. Hopefully it will be all better very soon.

Poor thing. SHe looked so cute though. Who remembered the camera in the emergency room?
Poor Josie! Glad to hear it's okay, though. We have had such great experiences at that ER, too - they are amazing with kids, and so fast!!
