Josie was so excited to go, she wanted to help us pack. She did great on the airplane! So glad we had our seat.
Our weekend in homer....
The 4.5 hour drive to homer was long but very beautiful! The scenery along the way was spectacular. We stayed in a great big house with breathtaking views of the bay, glaciers and the Homer Spit. We got to see a moose with a calf come right through the yard in the evening.

Josie loved to get dirty in the sand and the mud. She couldn't keep her hands out of it. What fun!
Mommy and daddy had fun at the beach too! Daddy even found us a hermit crab to look at.

Homer had "BIG SAND" as Lola liked to call it.
Doug found us a starfish in a tidepool to look at. The kids had fun looking at it before we put it back. 
After the beach we walked down the spit and looked at all the shops.
We made a stop at the famous Salty Dawg Saloon and Chris Sopp got all the kids sweatshirts. So nice of him!

When we got back to Anchorage, Daddy and Uncle Justin flew out to the AK penninsula on Grandpa Rudy's plane to go fishing for 5 days. We went to the airport in the morning to see them off.
Brooke came to visit us while the guys were gone. We went up to the top of Flat Top to show her the view over Anchorage. Burr! It was cold up there. We got to see another Moose on our way home.
We went to the Botanical Gardens and we had to be very careful of the bears! Lots of sightings in the park.
No real bear sightings this time, but Lola and Josie posed with these two on one of our shopping trips. We had such a great trip!!
